I was inspired to write this blogpost by the cover of Bloomberg Green magazine cover that says “The time is now”
Actually the past year in the project of Wasteful has flown so fast and many things has happened.
TOP 3 in the StartUp World Cup
Out of 52 candidates and 10 finalists we were chosen in the TOP three start-ups together with companies like the other finalist DiFOLD and the winner OfficeRnD!
We feel like winners as just a year ago we were founded as a team. This is a big recognition for our work and our mission.

One year later
First on 25 of January I marked exactly one year of my statement at TEDx Vitosha that I will work towards recycled products.

Fast forward one year
Wasteful was founded as a company.
We have a core team of three people.
We have three advisors with experience in the field of construction, tech development and recycling industries.
We are currently part of two accelerator programs - Founder Institute and Beyond.
Now we are developing our first product and have talks with three potential clients.
So far so good. I see Wasteful not so much as a fast growing start-up rather then a sustainably developing company that brings value to waste.
2nd Place - EIT BoostUp
With our long-term vision of a mobile recycling unit in a shipping container we won 2nd place at the EIT (European Center for Innovation and Technology) BoostUp Competition.
We believe that by providing the tool to turn “un-recyclable” plastic waste into a meaningful product we will bring value to companies and communities.
